Part of Leven Thumps. I’m really not sure how I feel about this, it felt slow and agonizing to read, every time I opened the book and read hte few pages I fell asleep.
Parents need to know that there is some mild fantasy violence here: It’s full of great characters and plenty of laughs.

Oct 15, Katty rated it it was ok. It also just felt like everything in his magic was contrived, gafeway like he just decided “oh this would be fun let’s do that” with no throught for consistency etc. Everything interesting levven him begins and ends with his name.
Winter struggles just to figure out what her purpose is. And I can judge by that standerd, worte the same way when I was twelve.
You will immediately want to read the sequel. Books by Obert Skye. The entire thing came off really forced and self-conscious, and the characters and settings seriously lacked depth, especially all of the adults and other goo types, who are basically caricatures with no motivation to be how they are and therefore no realism.
